Не е ли идеята да се лансират оригинални идеи от независими автори, а не рециклаж на порядъчно сериализирани и популарни шоута правени от обръгнали професионалисти?

The incipient mutineer was more outraged than ever, then, at what he denounced as the partiality shown the captain’s table over the other tables in the ship. He flourished back and got his cup and set it down triumphantly, and said:
“Just try that mixture once, Captain Duncan.”
He smelt it — tasted it — smiled benignantly — then said:
“It is inferior — for coffee — but it is pretty fair tea.”

Ммм, доколкото разбрах, идеята не е била да се финансира напълно, а просто да бъде демонстриран интерес

Бе то лошо няма щом феновете по този начин могат да кажат думата си за това дали искат movie feature или не, пък и един VM филм едва ли ще е толкова скъп (дистрибуцията е ключовият момент)...просто съм свикнал да мисля, че kickstarter е по-скоро за подкрепа на нови идеи и артисти...явно продуцентите са царе да измислят все нови и нови методи за изстискване на средства и подкрепа от носталгията на зрителите

Мисля, че WB могат просто да погледнат почти готовия продукт и да кажат "нас това не ни кефи и няма да го дистрибутираме"...или пък "кефи ни дайте го насам".Keep in mind that the more money we raise, the cooler movie we can make. Vash, това са организационни подробности, ние тук хипотетично говорим.
(То е ясно, че преди да почнеш да търсиш финансова подкрепа, ще си се допитал до екипа за графиците им.)
На мен друго не ми харесва - евентуалното ново поведение на големите ТВ компании.
Първи сезон - X долара за продукция.
Втори сезон - X/2 долара за продукция.
Трети сезон - X/3 долара за продукция.
(Това си е както до сега, но следва новото.)
Четвърти сезон/филм - те феновете ще си го спонсорират сами.
А не е като да не могат да си го позволят или като да рискуват особено с филми по толкова популярни ТВ шоута, като VM и 24 (понеже отворих дума за него по-горе, не че съм фен).
То за някои конкретни случаи, ще е перфектната формула, но като масов бизнес принцип не ме кефи особено...

Veronica Mars никога не е бил особено популярен и затова е прекъснат. Силно е възможно да е му нужен Kickstarter, за разлика от 24, който май до края си е трупал стабилен рейтинг.
За Firefly имах предвид, че каквито и да са истинските причини най-малкото Уидън вече няма интерес.

Да, ама ако събере пари по този начин, значи е бил достатъчно популярен, а телевизията му е ударила балтията не по заслуги, а по конюнктурни причиниСилно е възможно да е му нужен Kickstarter
.Да, ама филмът му страда в development hell-а точно заради недостиг на средства...т.е. компанията не е навита да рискува малко пари дори за толкова популярно и не особено скъпо заглавие.за разлика от 24, който май до края
Новата идея за подкрепа на относително по-големи филмови проекти с Kickstarter може да звучи, като мечтата на филм nerd-а...но в същото време е и начин компаниите да рискуват по-малко пари на гърба на феновете...при това за продукции с и без това безумно изтънели бюджети...

Силно ме съмнява да правят филма само с тези 2 милиона от Kickstarter. Или колкото там съберат докрая на кампанията.
От друга страна, появата на по-големи филмови проекти в Kickstarter определено няма да е във вреда на инди такивата, тъкмо ще има повече юзъри които да замерят проектите с пачки. Ако може да правим такива изводи след миналогодишното избухване на големи гейм проекти пак там и значителното увеличаване на интереса към сайта изобщо.

В тоя ред на мисли тъкмо гледах Mockingbird Lane. Доста добра пилотка, а колкобеше разкошна визията нямам думи. Твърде жалко, че ще си остане само с единия епизод.

На втори епизод съм и ми е много интересно засега.
На места ми е доста брутален -
А Флоки е голяма откачалка, радва
Гледам, че е правен сериалът от Хистъри, та сигурно е по-автентичен от подобните нему. Е, поне викингите нямат рогати шлемове, та все е някакво начало ;р
Оупънингът е разкошен.
Жалко, че само 4 епизода има излезли, дано задържи и нататък доброто темпо.
